Books!!!!

So I went downtown to get some cash out for rent, and with the intention of buying some fresh produce at Thursdays on First and Third.

I, um, bought books instead. The money for rent is safe and here at home, but I used my produce money on books. It's been so long (2 weeks) since I was at the book store. Granted I still have two or three books on my shelf that need reading but you can never have too many books. I got some good ones too...

Kurt Vonegut "Player Piano"
William Faulkner "As I Lay Dying"
John Updike "Witches of Eastwick"
Dante's "Inferno"
and
The Mammoth book of Erotica with stories by Clive Barken, Leornard Cohen, Anne Rice, Kathy Acker, Adam-Troy Castro and Marco Vassi (just to name a few.)

I got a pretty good deal too. All these books for $16.00! I need another bookshelf.

I know I'm kind of a dork.

Woohoo!!

100 feet in less than seven minutes!!!

Rock climbing rocks!

So I have a goal. To get in good enough shape to try out and make it as a contestant on American Gladiators next year. I started officially training for it on Monday. I'll be lifting 3-4 times a week. Running, doing intervals (sprints.) Riding my bike to build up stamina. Rock climbing and hiking, trail running. And I need to find someone who can show me some good wrestling moves.

This is going to be fun!

tattle tales

I really hate it when people tattle. Seriously, how old are we?

that is all.

Fucking photo thingy

So I uploaded a bunch of pictures and added captions...none of the captions saved. Dammit. I am not going back and redoing them right now. I'll do it later. Hmph.

going out...

I'm getting ready to go out tonight with my sister, Steph. We're going to hit the Breakroom and then maybe Whiskeybones later. It looks like there's a blues band down at WhiskeyBones. I really love the blues but want to go somewhere to dance. I was hoping to go to the street dance tonight but refuse to pay $8 to dance on a public street. This is disappointing because there is a Pink Floyd tribute band playing tonight. I freakin' love Pink Floyd...I'd pay a lot more than $8 to see them but not a tribute band.

Also, my legs are freaking sore! I was doing sprints yesterday...what on Earth was I thinking?!

I had no idea

I didn't even know I was signed up for this. Cool.

Well now I have two journals (a regular say anything journal on a message board and a fitness one on another board) and this blog. What am I ever going to say here that I don't already say in those two places...we'll see.
